The first single from the upcoming 10 Years album ‘Minus the Machine’ has premiered online (see link below).  The album, due July 31, will be released via the band’s own label, Palehorse Records.

‘Backlash’ has some industrial elements along with straight ahead rock. The tempo and intensity shift a few times throughout the song. Vocalist Jesse Hasek does the same, going from a restrained delivery to belting it out to backing off when the intensity lessens.

Fresh off performing at Rocklahoma, 10 Years kick off a headlining tour June 27, with Fair To Midland and Kyng opening for the four week trek. The band will also play Rockfest in Cadott, Wis., on July 20 and Summerjam in Summerville, Va., on Aug. 4.

The Knoxville, Tenn., band formed back in 1999 and released its debut album in 2001. 10 Years has had several top 10 singles on the rock and alternative charts, with 2005‘s ‘Wasteland’ being their biggest hit. ‘Minus The Machine’ will be their sixth studio album.
