Shortly after announcing the departure of founding guitarist Matt Roberts due to undisclosed health issues, 3 Doors Down joined forces with ZZ Top and Gretchen Wilson to launch their ‘Gang of Outlaws’ tour.

The tour kicked off in Manchester, N.H. on May 25 at the Verizon Wireless Arena. 3 Doors Down owned the middle slot of the evening, sandwiched between country rocker Gretchen Wilson and the legendary bluesy rock trio ZZ Top. 3 Doors Down rocked through an energetic and inspired 12 song set.

Never sounding better, the collection of live tunes was primarily made up of their stockpile of smash hit singles leading to a lot of crowd sing-a-longs during the choruses like ‘Loser,’ ‘Be Like That’ and ‘Here Without You.’ They closed out their show with the one-two punch of their very first single ‘Kryptonite’ from 2000 followed by the tribute tune ‘When I’m Gone.’

Guitarist Chet Roberts filled the void left by Matt Roberts. Chet is no stranger to the band as he is Chris Henderson’s former guitar tech and had instant chemistry with the band onstage which you can plainly see in the live photos.

The ‘Gang of Outlaws’ tour continues through the end of June, check out all of the dates here and our exclusive photos from the opening night of the tour below.
