#1 Two-Man Scramble - A two-man scramble is the easiest mini tournament you can put together because all it really takes is a few tee times and 2 people to make a team. To make it interesting after everyone has paid their green fees add an extra $5 per person to a pot and lowest team score wins the pot, of course then you make the awards ceremony at a local bar and the winners have to buy the first round. Everyone's a winner with this tournament.

#2 Gruesomes - Gruesomes is betting game that pits 2-person teams against each other. Both team members tee off, then the other teams gets to choose which of the drives your side has to play. Obviously, they'll choose the worst - or most gruesome - of the two drives. This one is fun with 4 players

#3 Nassau - The Nassau is three bets in one: low score on the front nine, low score on the back nine and low score over the full 18. The $2 Nassau is perhaps the most common bet among golf buddies. This is a simple bet that you can put together and if everyone puts in a set amount at the beginning of the round then it's basically just a standard golf tournament with payouts at the end. You may want to add some handicap strokes to those that might night be up to everybody else's golf game.

#4 2-Man No Scotch - In the 2-Man No Scotch, which should be called A Lot of Scotch because if your partners so-so he/she could make you drink a lot during this golf tournament format. To begin both team members tee off, then switch golf balls. They play their second strokes (each hitting the other's tee ball), then beginning with the third shot the two team members play out the hole as a scramble. The low score among the two players is recorded as the team score for each hole.

#5 Bingo, Bango, Bongo - Bingo Bango Bongo is a points-based game that can be played by any number of players, from two up.  In Bingo Bango Bongo, three types of achievements are rewarded with a point. The first player in a group to get his ball on the green gets a point (bingo). The player in the group whose ball is closest to the pin once all balls are on the green gets a point (bango). And the player in the group who is first to hole out gets a point (bongo).  Add up the points at the end of the game, high points wins.
