Steven Eugene Brown is the 52-year-old Kennewick man charged with calling in two bomb threats to Columbia Basin College. He allegedly made the calls prior to having to take a test at the school.

The mid-morning threats were called into a voice mail at CBC and to Townsquare Media. The threat interrupted classes and shut down the Pasco and Richland campuses for the rest of July 18. No actual bombs were found.

Brown's attorney apparently trying to get his $150,000 bail reduced shortly. He was arrested July 24 after authorities traced the calls to a cellphone used to make the threats.

He has a Sept. 18 trial date in Franklin County Superior Court. Brown has plead not guilty to the charges.
