Kevin Ware suffered a freak and gruesome injury last week during the Louisville Cardinals Elite Eight win over the Duke Blue Devils in the NCAA Men's Tournament. The sophomore guard will be in attendance for the team's Final Four game against the Cinderella team of 2013 Wichita State this Saturday, but won't be taking the court until at least next season. NBA star Amar'e Stoudemire, who has no ties to Ware or the University of Louisville, ensured Ware's presence would be well known in the arena by donating $2,500 to have 1,000 'big heads' made for the Louisville student section.

The big heads cutouts have become popular in recent seasons, especially in student sections that are placed behind the hoop. Bryan Price, the founder of a company called Build-A-Head which creates the customized massive stick-and-paper-heads, took to Twitter after Ware's injury asking for donations from NBA players that were tweeting messages to Ware. Stoudemire's foundation stepped up and footed the $2,500 bill.

Build-A-Head will not profit from the big heads as all of the donation money will be used to fund the project.
