It should be good and loud, just like the first time.

On Sept. 12, a second ‘Metal Masters Clinic’ is set to commence, this time at the Best Buy Theater in Manhattan’s Times Square. Members from Anthrax, Megadeth and Slayer — three of the legendary “Big 4″ thrash-metal bands that will rock Yankee Stadium two days after the clinic — will be on hand to share anecdotes and rattle the rafters.

The first discussion/performance session was held in April at a Sam Ash music store in California and featured drummer Charlie Benante and bassist Frank Bello of Anthrax, bassist David Ellefson of Megadeth, plus former Dream Theater drummer Mike Portnoy. This time around, Slayer guitarist Kerry King will join that same cast of metal musicians.

Wristbands for the event, which begins at 5 p.m. ET, will be distributed to 500 fans that day on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Those who are shut out or unable to attend can still watch via a live stream on Revolver magazine’s website.

Oh, by the way: the fourth band among the thrash “Big 4″ is Metallica. For more than a decade, Metallica’s “Enter Sandman” has been the entrance music for Yankees relief pitcher Mariano Rivera. As Metallica singer James Hetfield explains, the Sept. 14 “Big 4″ show will give Yankees fans the opportunity to hear his band play the song live “in your house.”
