Avenged Sevenfold a Grammy No-Show on Sunday, For Good Reason
Avenged Sevenfold will not attend the Grammys in New York on Sunday in protest of rock awards no longer being presented during the broadcast.
Avenged Sevenfold has a Rock Song of the Year nomination for "The Stage."
During a Twitter Q&A session, the band said they were honored but would nonetheless be sitting the ceremony out.
They then concluded the Q&A session with a tweet wishing the best of luck to their competition in the category and saying that, “regardless of the outcome, we want to thank each and every fan for their continued support.”
