CAUGHT: Authorities Nab Both Suspects In State Patrol Shooting
Remember hearing about two suspects who fled after shooting at a Washington State Patrol trooper?
Those suspects are now behind bars.
State Patrol officials have announced that they have arrested two men believed to be responsible for opening fire on a trooper Monday.
The two men have been booked into the Yakima County Jail on charges of first-degree assault, unlawful possession of a firearm, possession of a stolen firearm and violation of the Uniform Controlled Substance Act.
Officials identified the suspects as 18-year-old Manuel J. Aviles of Mabton and 39-year-old Felipe Cortes-Barajas of Grandview.
The men were arrested Thursday morning in Adams County by members of the WSP SWAT team.
