Police in Coeur D' Alene arrested a 36-year-old man after his toddler son wandered into a bar Sunday afternoon.  Around 12:30 p.m. the boy walked into Sully's Pub and Grill on Government Way and told the employees his name was Jake Edwards, and his father's name was Jesse.

Idaho State Police were able to reach the father, Jake Edwards, on his cell and inform him of his son's whereabouts. The boy, dressed in sweat pants, an inside-out pajama top, boots, was wearing what officials said was a fairly dirty diaper that looked like it had not been changed in some time.

Troopers said Edwards was arrested after he met up with them at the Walmart in nearby Hayden, Idaho. The man could not offer any reason why he became separated from the boy and appeared to be under the influence something. He is being charged with child endangerment.

Troopers did not say if Edwards had been at Walmart, but the distance from the store to the bar was is nearly 2.5 miles!

Police don't know where the boy had been staying since his mother did not respond to attempts to contact her.
