Since it first opened in the summer of 1999, the ballpark that sits at the corner of Edgar Martinez Drive and Dave Niehaus Way will no longer be named SafeCo Field.

A sign crew delicately removed each letter that was on the facade of the home plate entrance at what is the home of Major League Baseball's Seattle Mariners.

The naming rights to the stadium were purchased by T-Mobile. The Mariners open their 2019 home schedule on March 28 against the defending World Series champions - the Boston Red Sox.
