Everyone Loves/Hates Nickelback [VIDEO]

Nickelback are Detroit Heroes
FunnyOrDie.com

Nickelback seems to be one of the most polarizing groups in Rock ‘N Roll. Whether someone is just drinking the Haterade due to the bands success, or they just legitimately don’t like the bands music, it’s been debatable since their debut…everyone loves OR hates Nickelback.

Recently, we told you about an online petition setup in an effort to have Nickelback removed from playing halftime at the Packers vs. Lions game on Thanksgiving Day at Ford Field in Detroit, MI. So maybe not everyone…but does this mean that Detroit hates Nickelback?

Personally, I’m not much of a Nickelback fan…but, I have heard really great things about their live shows. I mean ‘Side of a Bullet’ uses a solo from the late ‘Dimebag’ Darrell Abbott of Pantera, and Nickelback dedicated that song to Abbott. In my mind, that is enough reason to at least respect the doods.

Funny Or Die did a sketch about people hating Nickelback, specifically Detroit. Check out the hilarious video below…and by the way, Dave Coulier (Uncle Joey from Full House) ain’t dead!

Nickelback will be performing on Jimmy Kimmel Live! Tonight, Tuesday November 22nd on their outdoor stage. Nickelback is also teaming up with United Way and the National Football League for the 13th annual United Way Thanksgiving Halftime Show during the first game of the NFL’s tripleheader when the Detroit Lions host the Green Bay Packers on Thursday, November 24 at 9:30am locally on FOX. Nickelback in partnership with Roadrunner Records and United Way Worldwide have announced that the band will donate a quarter to United Way education programs for every person who takes United Way’s pledge between now and December 31, 2011 to become a volunteer reader, tutor or mentor for education. People can take the pledge at liveunited.org/nickelback.

Nickelback will embark on a new world tour in support of the release of their newly released album ‘Here and Now’ in early 2012 with dates to be announced shortly.
