A brush fire broke out near I-90 by Vantage, and the freeway was closed midday for some time.

All lanes of the freeway were shut down between mileposts 136 and 149 due to the blaze which was originally thought to have been sparked Sunday night.

As of 1:15 pm fire crews were en route to the area,  no further information has been released. Officials didn't say what the cause of the fire was, but it's the second major fire to close part of I-90 in just a few days.  The other was spillover from a fire at Inland Tarp in Moses Lake that set fire to a large propane tank. It exploded, flew 1,000 feet in the air and triggered another fire that ended up shutting down the freeway.
