Weather forecasters are working overtime and predicting a major snow storm headed to Washington state for the weekend...They're saying westsiders  could see as much as a foot of snow.

A weather professor from the University of Washington predicts the state might see a “snow apocalypse.” and also calls it “One of the greatest snow events in decades.”

Thanks to a low pressure system sitting off the Washington Coast and cold air blowing down from Canada has created the 'Perfect Storm"

The majority is predicted for the Puget Sound area with Yakima is likely to see some snow. The current forecast calls for 1 to 3 inches of new snow accumulation on Friday and 2 to 4 inches on Saturday in Yakima. There’s a 90 percent chance of snow on Friday night and a 50 percent chance of snow on Saturday.

The Tri-Cities area can expect anywhere from 2 to 3 inches....
