I know what you're thinking. I take in my old drugs to be disposed of? What kind of drugs? We're talking about old medicines and pills that have been sitting on your shelf or in a cabinet somewhere that need to go. If you have old prescriptions or medicines that need to be thrown away, you can safely get rid of them by taking them to the Richland Police Department this Saturday, April 28th.

It's part of a national DEA initiative to dispose of old medicines in a proper and safe fashion and keep them out of the hands of kids, teens, addicts and dealers. The station will be accepting medicines from 10am to 2pm on Saturday, so spring clean those cabinets and make room for stuff you really need by getting rid of meds you don't.
