April 7 is the day we celebrate National Beer Day and I am happy for that.  Beer is the most consumed alcoholic beverage in the world besides tea and water. National Beer Day recognizes the passage of the “Cullen-Harrison Act,” which President Franklin D. Roosevelt signed into law in 1933. The act — which allowed people to brew and sell beer that was no more than 4 percent alcohol – was the first step toward ending Prohibition.

Thank you, FDR, for making this day possible!
