It was boat race Sunday and my wife and I decided to avoid the crowds and take a drive. We ended up in charming Bickleton, WA, the bluebird capitol of the world! It was too hot for bluebirds, we hear there's tremendous viewing in the spring.

After our exhausting 70 min drive from West Richland, we were parched and starving! Ha! The Bluebird Inn was just the ticket for our Sunday excursion.

The Bluebird Inn is full of history.

On the inside, I felt right at home, having grown up in small town Montana.

Meet Jessica and Tonya...they'll take your order! Hey Shae! I didn't get you in the pic. Sorry! But I know your pickled bluebird egg idea will be huge! :-D

In all the excitement, I forgot a pic of our delicious cheeseburgers! You know I'm a foodie and you'll just have to trust me. See you sooner than later, Bickleton!

P.S. When we pulled up, my wife said "What if they don't take debit cards." I'm like, "yeah sure, do we have to pay them in silver dollars?" LOL Turns out she was right (like always). Part of the charm of the Bluebird Inn is, if you don't have cash or check, they ask you to mail it to them when you get home and have a nice day!
