An injury accident was reported on Hwy 12 near A Street in Pasco this morning. A reminder that conditions are perfect for creating early morning fog in the area. So what exactly is fog? Is it just a low lying cloud? Actually it is! With our recent temperature changes, air is cooled near the ground and then it condenses into water droplets. These water droplets are just light enough to float above the ground and make it hard for us to see through. There are several different types of fog, and right now we are getting Radiation Fog. That happens when nights are clear and winds are calm. Air at the surface cools down and humidity rises and condenses into those pesky little floating water droplets called fog.
