Ben Franklin Transit to provide shuttle services to Art in the Park, Columbia Cup
RICHLAND, WA. – Ben Franklin Transit (BFT) will provide the convenience of shuttle services to two popular annual community events this weekend, July 27-29.
 
Art in the Park | Friday and Saturday, July 27 and 28: Those attending Richland’s Art in the Park event can catch a shuttle looping every 15 minutes beginning at 8:30 a.m. both days at Fran Rish stadium, with stops at Knight Street Transit Center, John Dam Plaza, and in front of Greenies near the entrance to Howard Amon Park.
 
Cost: This year’s Art in the Park shuttle service will be offered by donation, with all proceeds benefiting the Boys & Girls Clubs of Benton and Franklin Counties Music and Arts Center.
 
HAPO Columbia Cup | Saturday and Sunday, July 28 and 29: Attendees headed to the Kennewick side of the river for this year’s boat races can catch a BFT trolley shuttle at their choice of three transit centers—22nd Avenue in Pasco, Knight Street in Richland, or Dayton in Kennewick—departing every hour on the hour between 7 a.m. and 11 a.m. both days to Columbia Park. Return shuttles depart Columbia Park for their transit centers of origination beginning 15 minutes after the final heat ends each day.
 
                Cost: $1.50 each way for an individual passenger; $4.00 each way for a family up to 5 people.

Please note: BFT’s seasonal Columbia Park trolley route, called the River Runner, will not operate Thursday, July 26 thru Saturday, July 28 due to park roadway closures and traffic restrictions. Those wishing to access Columbia Park by bus for the event may use the event shuttle service on Saturday and Sunday.
