Kennewick Axes Volume Controls at Public Concerts — Yeah, Let’s See How Long That Lasts

The Kennewick City Council says a new noise ordinance will not hamper the sound level at the Benton Franklin Fair and Rodeo. Crank it up! There is no limit on sound levels at the fair anymore. However, this also applies to all city parks across Kennewick!

I think this is not going to turn out well.

Does this mean complaints about cranked-up music will now fall on "deaf" ears?

Arguments over sound levels is a kettle of fish.

What IS "too loud"?

Actually, that's an easy one to answer. Remember Ted Nugent at the 2010 county fair? Did we need MORE volume on his dozens of F-bombs and profanity-laced tirades?

And maybe you should just quit being a baby and deal with concerts in the park... but what about bass levels? No one wants to feel thumping in their chest all night while they're trying to enjoy "Modern Family" on TV.
