This story absolutely boggles my mind. I guess the silver-lining is that I haven't become too desensitized after all my binge-watching of Netflix this winter.

A Kennewick man has been given his "second strike" for assault with a deadly weapon after he stabbed his father in the chest. Allegedly, the incident occurred after the father recorded over a rap song the son had recorded. The father is alive, the knife was never found after allegedly bouncing off his chest.

In Washington, if you get three "strikes" you could go to jail for life.

The man has a month to appeal his sentence of 8 years for the assault. But he already has plead guilty to other charges earlier this year, so he will be serving time for those.
