KISS added to their "been there, done that" list over the holidays as the band appeared as part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, but don't look for a return trip anytime soon if Paul Stanley's opinion on the experience counts for anything.

The band appeared on a float cruising through the New York City streets and stopping for a performance of 'Rock and Roll All Nite.' By most accounts, it went off without too many issues as the band even offered a photo and a tweet thanking their fans for watching and adding, "We hope you enjoy your Thanksgiving Day." That tweet can be seen below.

But after the performance, Stanley took to his Twitter account and stated, "Bluntly, we were screwed over & misled by the exec in charge of #MacysThanksgivingDayParade. We ALL deserved better." The tweet can be seen below.

Stanley did not further elaborate on the reason for his discord, but the NBC cameras did not begin showing KISS until well into the song. After the performance, bassist-vocalist Gene Simmons spoke with Page Six about the experience, revealing that he toned down his tongue-wagging for the family audience.

"I was proud to be a part of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade," said Simmons. "My tongue is God-given. As regards to the parade, my intention was to be tongue in cheek. Mostly, I kept it in my cheek."

A Macy's rep later told Page Six that there were not any restrictions placed upon the band, and added, "Their performance was a highlight of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade's live national broadcast which captured the very best of this legendary group."
