While the title is still a work in progress, Lamb of God frontman Randy Blythe is anxiously awaiting the release of his band’s forthcoming movie. The film is not the typical rock documentary that has been done time and time again, but rather a compilation of things that weighs heavy on fan involvement.

“It’s really not about us so much; it’s about our fans,” Blythe recently told Kerrang! at Donington Park in Leicestershire, United Kingdom. “We get to travel the world and play some pretty unique places. The UK was very strange to us when we first came here, but now it’s old hat. It’s culturally quite similar to America, comparatively to like South America or India or Israel or Japan.”

“So we’ve been interviewing our fans in these different areas of the world, where the culture is quite different from ours, in order to show that the music scene and particularly the heavy metal, hardcore, punk-rock, underground music scene is really the same throughout the world,” he continues to say in the interview that can be viewed below. “It shows sort of a unifying theme in humanity, I think. The music sort of transcends racial, ethnic, political, cultural boundaries.”

Lamb of God is currently touring Europe, but will return to the states for the band’s Resolution tour, beginning August 1. The trek will also feature co-headliners Dethklok and special guest Gojira.
