LED Lit Super Bowl XLIX Will Cut Energy Use By 75%

University of Phoenix Stadium became the first NFL stadium to be outfitted with LED lights, which makes Super Bowl XLIX the first Super Bowl lit by LED's.

The lights installed by Ephesus Lighting, use 310,000 watts of energy. The previous system used 1.24 million watts, cutting energy use by 75%.
