Following his six-episode run as “Ron Tully” on FX’s hit series Sons of Anarchy, Marilyn Manson has lined up a starring role in the independent crime drama Let Me Make You a Martyr. The shock rocker is playing a hitman named “Pope” in the film.

The film began production this week and is currently being shot in Tulsa, Okla. Let Me Make You a Martyr is being directed by John Swab and Corey Asraf and also stars fellow Sons of Anarchy alum Mark Boone Jr. and Niko Nicotera. The film is a revenge thriller that tells the story of two adopted siblings that fall in love and conceive a plan to kill their abusive father.

The film’s official Facebook page describes the film as “a story chronicling the consequences of abuse and betrayal while exploring the choices human beings make as a result of fear, love, lust, and hatred.”

Meanwhile, Marilyn Manson recently announced a co-headlining tour with Smashing Pumpkins, dubbed 'The End Times' tour. The outing will kick off in Concord, Calif., on July 7 and it wrap up Aug. 8 in Cincinnati, Ohio, at the Riverbend Music Center. For the complete tour dates click here.
