Besides the recent string of downtown fires being looked at in Pasco, authorities now have three more blazes to investigate.

But unlike the recent blazes that were set in the downtown area, these three early Monday morning blazes are further west, and all occurred between 2:37 and 5:30am.

The very early morning fire involved someone setting a couch on fire. It had been placed in an alley at 8th and Octave Streets. The fire was extinguished before any structural damage occurred, but a pickup parked nearby suffered damage.

Then around 5:01am,  fire crews responded to a fire near the corner of 20th. Ave and A Street, a 20 by 20 foot patch burned before it was brought under control. Then less than 25 minutes later, a grass fire was reported near the base of the Blue Bridge on the Pasco side, burning a 50 by 50 square foot area.  No property damage occurred, but fire officials say all three were deliberately set.

So far, they have no suspects in any of the blazes.  Anyone with any information is asked to anonymously report it to Tri-Cities Crime Stoppers at (509)-586-TIPS.
