Why are steaks at Outback and Texas Roadhouse so special? Aside from superior cuts of meat, the seasoning, of course. Each has it's own, perfect flavor. And to be honest, I'm not a huge fan of any food that's highly seasoned. S&P is good for me. But my steaks at home taste a little boring, and every time I use a seasoned salt or a shaker steak seasoning, it's just wrong.

Steakhouse seasoning is a well kept secret, but there are copy-cat recipes online. I've tried them and it's never really on target. So I came up with this, which is a bit of both online copies of TX Roadhouse and Outback. This is enough for 2-4 steaks. See what ya think:

1 tsp salt

3/4 tsp paprika

black pepper to taste

1/4 tsp onion powder

1/4 tsp garlic powder

1/8 tsp coriander

1/8 tsp turmeric

1/2 tsp brown sugar

Magnify this if you want to make enough to sprinkle on steaks all summer!
