My Kitten Nurses on My Dog – Cute or WTF?

A couple weeks ago, my kitten, Timmy, started nursing on my Australian shepherd, Teddy.

My kitten had her mom around until she was about 11 weeks old, so I didn't whisk her away early. Teddy has been fixed since she was a puppy.

I caught Timmy trying to attach herself to Teddy. At first, Teddy would walk away when Tim would start to suckle. Then Timmy would follow. This went on a while, until Teddy, exasperated, climbed on the couch.

The kitten followed her again to the living room floor, where Teddy finally gave up and reluctantly mothered my cat.
