No Signs of Break In at Home of Two Dead Teenagers
Kennewick Police Sgt. Ken Lattin says there are no signs of a break in or forced entry at the Hansen Park home where a 16-year-old girl and her 12-year-old brother were found dead of gun shot wounds Monday afternoon. The handgun was found nearby.
As the neighborhood mourns the family's tragedy, a house across the street has posted a photo of the 12-year-old boy in the front yard with a tie. Apparently he enjoyed wearing ties.
A police presence has been at the house non-stop since the children's stepfather discovered the bodies when he returned from work around 5 p.m.
Police are tight-lipped as to what they think happened. Forensic investigators are studying bullet trajectories to piece together the tragic events of Monday afternoon. But there are currently no outside suspects.
