It's the biggest day of your life... so far. You FINALLY made it though high school, and graduation day is at hand. Everyone wants this day to be special, and so did a student at Meadowdale High School in Lynnwood, WA. He not only took the stage to mark the end of high school, he took the opportunity to propose to his girlfriend in front of the whole school, their friends, and family. Luckily, she said yes, but they got a rude awakening later. The school denied the two their diplomas!

According to the mother of the girl who was proposed to, the administration stated that the proposal was selfish and was a disruption to the day for the others. The mother also said the school staff was "disrespectful and nasty" to the boy, and is outraged that they kept the kids' diplomas. She's even wondering about the "legality" of the whole thing (since they did all their work and graduated in the proper fashion). All that aside, it got me thinking, was it rude and selfish, or a cute and original way to propose? What do you think? Take the poll and see where you stand with others.
