Pasco police were surprised by a suspect who assaulted an officer when they responded to a 911 call.

Shortly before 5:30pm Monday police rolled up to a home in the 400 block of West Sylvester after getting a 911 call. The dispatcher said the only words spoken by the caller were 'fight!'

When police arrived, a man, identified as 22-year-old  Ruben Compos of Pasco, told them nothing was going on and they should leave. But while police were trying to talk to another person there, Compos sucker punched one of the officers and knocked him down.

He attempted to strike the officer again, until a Taser was brought out. Turns out Compos is wanted on laundry list of offenses, including outstanding warrants for Robbery, Assault and Burglary.

He's now facing additional charges for Assault on police officer and violations of a no-contact order by getting physical with a relative who had the order against him.
