A familiar local face will be on camera when Creed's Scott Stapp plays this Friday's (Aug. 31) Fox and Friends All American Summer Concert Series in New York City. Sammy Hudson, director of entertainment for Zillah's Perham Hall at the Old Warehouse -- and Stapp's music director and bassist -- will lay down the bass lines for Stapp's live performance from Fox Square in midtown Manhattan.

But Hudson, the former Everclear member, who's turning Perham Hall into a favorite local music venue in the heart of the Yakima Valley's wine country, will have to get up early: The show starts at 6:30 a.m. EDT.

Hudson's spent plenty of time on big stages, but he says he's enjoying the relative quiet of Zillah, where he saw a great opportunity in establishing Perham Hall as a serious concert stop with its proximity to Portland, Seattle and Spokane. He also loves the historical significance of the warehouse and its intimate setting for audiences.
