Project  Status

Both Improvement Projects are out for Construction Bids – I-182/Queensgate Drive Ramp Terminal and Queensgate Drive/Columbia Park Trail Improvements!

Anticipated Timeline

Construction will take place from April 2018 through August 2018.  As contractor bids are awarded, a more detailed timeline will be available.  In addition, a rerouting/detour map will also be shared.

Project Description

In 2015, the City of Richland completed an engineering planning study for the Queensgate Drive Corridor which included evaluation of intersection configurations, roadway geometry and access control.  In March 2015 a Public Open House was held to provide opportunity for the community to see the results of the study and provide feedback on the corridor improvements.  In April 2017 an additional Public Open House was held to present the proposed design.

The above final design is a representation of the corridor study evaluations, feedback received from the open houses and evaluation of access control to address roadway capacity and safety improvements.
