Wherever Dave 'Oderus Urungus' Brockie is right now, you know he's got to be smiling about this. Outside of GWAR's Nov. 15 performance in Spokane, Wash., a religious group protested the show, yelling about how Dave Brockie is currently burning in Hell.

GWAR fans know the truth: Oderus Urungus departed for outer space earlier this year. The alien overlord finally had enough of Earth, likely flying off to Metal Metal Land and other worlds the GWAR leader missed dearly during his 30 years on our planet.

Your first guess may be the Westboro Baptist Church, but it was actually a separate religious group that protested the GWAR gig. Captured in the video above by a GWAR fan, the cameraman peacefully confronted the group to debate their point, though others yelled insults from across the street.

You can plainly hear a female protester with a megaphone yelling, "You are on the side of the devil!" and "You don't have to be burning in Hell like the lead singer of GWAR is right now!" As seen in the video above, the protest group only consisted of about half a dozen people, and thankfully, neither side resorted to violence.

GWAR's brand new lineup is currently blazing across North America with Corrosion of Conformity and American Sharks. Check out the full list of tour dates here.
