The Renton theater shooter that accidentally shot a woman during a movie, now says he brought the gun fearing for mass shootings. He was afraid that someone would try a mass shooting during the movie because it was about terrorism. Detective Robert Onishi with Renton Police said "He told some people he'd taken the gun out because he was concerned about the possibility of mass shootings there".

The 29 year old shooter is still unidentified and was booked in the King County jail on charges of investigation of felony assault.
