Police think that road rage was probably to blame in a drive by shooting off road 100 this weekend in Pasco. According to news reports, the suspect was driving aggressive and pulled in front of the victims car who then pulled into a turn lane beside the suspect. The suspect then allegedly pulled a gun and fired 3 or 4 shots, hitting the car 3 times before speeding off. The victim was not hurt in the shooting and their name has not been released by police.

Pasco police think they found the suspects car later during a traffic stop but the driver ran off and abandoned the car with a 9 mm pistol sitting on the front seat. There were 9 mm casings found at the scene of the shooting back on rd 100. The "still at large" driver has been identified as a convicted felon and the gun is being tested for evidence. If you have any information on this incident please contact the Pasco’s non-emergency dispatch at 509-545-3510.
