If you are love motorcycles, then you know about this book and its author. Robert Pirsig wrote one of the best books in the world. Best known for "Zen & The Art Of Motorcycle Maintenance," Pirsig died this week at the age of 88. I am happy to own this book. I friend of mine gave it to me while we were in Nevada. I am happy to have read it then because the only thing to do in Nevada is gamble, go to strip clubs or read. What I didn't know about this book and Pirsig is that over 100 publishers turned him down to publish the book from the beginning.

That is insane. If you have ever read this book you will wonder how any publisher could have turned him down. The book is actually kind of crazy. Reports say it was inspired by a road trip he took. Just from knowing a few things about motorcycles, you will know some of it isn't very true. But it is his story.

You should read "Zen and the Art of Motorcycle Maintenance" even if you don't care about Zen or motorcycles. It is a good read.
