On Thursday night I had the chance to experience the all new Fujiyama restaurant in Kennewick. I've been to these types of restaurants before and had an idea of what to expect. What I didn't expect was the fact that I was in for some amazing and delicious food. If you know me then you know I'm one of the pickiest eaters around, I love steak, ribs, chicken, fish and mostly any other types of meat, I try and stay away from those things people call vegetables.

Focker and Jay

Knowing the place was new we expected to have to wait a few until we got seated but nope, we walked right in and were seated instantly. Seated next to a very nice couple we sparked up some conversation and neither of us had any idea of what to do or how to order. Finally we were visited by our server Jay(pictured to the right) who helped us get started with the essentials, drinks! If you happen to get Jay while visiting make sure to congratulate him on his 2nd day at work which is every day.

A few drinks down and our chef joined us at the table to begin dinner. Ganda was his name and who the heck knows where he came from but damn he could cook a mean meal. We ordered the surf and turf special which was a Filet Mignon with a lobster tail. It came with this amazing dipping sauce simply called 'Yummy Sauce', and if your wondering yes it was yummy.

Chicken Fried Rice - Heart shaped

Dinner came complete with a salad and those vegetable things that my fiance loved and so did the other couple so being the nice guy I am I let them share my serving of veggies. The chicken fried rice was cooked and prepared right there in front of us. From cooking the raw chicken to cracking the eggs on the skillet everything was cooked right in front of your eyes. Ganda even made the heart shaped chicken fried rice beat for us.

Finally Ganda was done and left us to enjoy an amazing meal prepared right in front of our eyes. From the Filet Mignon to the lobster tail to the insane yummy sauce and ginger dipping sauce the night was filling.

Check out the video of Ganda doing some work on an onion Volcano!
