Taking pictures, editing them, and sharing them just became much easier. Samsung is adding one more device to your Christmas wishlist this year with the announcement that their Samsung Galaxy Camera will be released this week.

Although the cameras on the latest smartphones have become just as good as your average point and shoot digital camera, Samsung is going one step further. This is an a camera first and smartphone second Android device. Beginning November 16th, the 4G-enabled Samsung Galaxy Camera will be available through AT&T for $499.99 without a contract.

The cellular-connected, Android-powered camera has a quad-core 1.4GHz processor and Android 4.1 Jelly Bean. The camera includes a 4.8-inch HD Super Clear LCD display, a 16MP backside illuminated CMOS sensor, and a 21x optical zoom lens. One last spec: the "4G" label AT&T is appending refers to its HSPA+ network, not LTE.
