He may not ever play in a game for the Texas Rangers, but Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson will appear on a Topps baseball card this season.

The former Tri-City Dust Devils second baseman was selected by the Rangers in the Rule 5 draft in December at a cost of just $12,000. Wilson has expressed interest in at least making an appearance at spring training and although the organization realizes that it's a long shot for the Super Bowl winner to actually suit up, the team would love for him to be around their young players and show them what it takes to succeed at the highest level.

A mockup photo was released showing the the limited edition card with Wilson airbrushed into a Rangers uniform. The card will be apart of the Topps Bowman series, which is reserved for prospects, and will be available beginning April 30.

This won't be Wilson's first professional baseball card as Topps and Bowman released a number of pro debut and prospect cards in 2010. Still, there were only about 1,100 of them produced and this latest run will be in very limited quantities.
