A 60-year-old man is unharmed after his car crashed completely through part of a Kennewick church Wednesday  afternoon.

According to Kennewick police Thursday,  a seizure was the reason Steven McGee of West Richland drove through part of the Mormon Highway Tabernacle on the corner of Highway 395 and 7th Ave.

McGee had reportedly just left the Kennewick Fred Meyer and was Northbound on the highway when he suffered the incident.  A passenger in his car, 47-year-old Margaret Brooks of West Richland, was able to grab the wheel and keep them from hitting a car in front of them which had stopped for a red light at the intersection.

The car sped off the road, hit the curb and got airborne, then crashed all the way through the office section of the building, coming to a stop in front of the perimeter fence on the other side.  McGee, said police, had just picked up his medications for his condition at the store moments earlier.

Kennewick fire officials say the building will need some reinforcing before the damaged office area can be accessed for repairs or rebuilding.

Fortunately, NO ONE was injured in the accident!
