Just a little over 10 years ago, Slipknot released their second full-length album, ‘Iowa’ , named after their home state. The album solidified Slipknot as a main force in metal music. The band has now announced that they will release a three-disc 10th anniversary edition of ‘Iowa' on November 1st.

Although Slipknot had already made a name for themselves with their self titled debut album and brutally intense live shows, ‘Iowa’ was the album that turned millions of music fans into “maggots” — the term bestowed onto Slipknot fans. Tracks like ‘Disasterpiece,’ ‘The Heretic Anthem’ and ‘Left Behind,’ helped the album sell over one million copies to achieve platinum status.

The special 10th anniversary edition of ‘Iowa’ will include the original album with a remix of ‘My Plague’, a live CD from a 2002 performance at the London Arena, and a DVD containing ‘Goat,’ a new film directed by Slipknot percussionist Shawn “Clown” Crahan that features never-before-seen interviews and footage from the ‘Iowa’ era. In addition the DVD will contain music videos for ‘My Plague’, ‘Left Behind’, ‘The Heretic Anthem’ (Live), and ‘People = Shit' (Live).
