South Park Opens Season 17 With New Intro [VIDEO]

Although the Les Claypool created theme song remains the same, the characters of the quiet little mountain town in Colorado have gone through a visual upgrade for the new episode intro.

The foul mouthed fourth graders are back as the latest season of South Park debuted Wednesday night on Comedy Central. Each season has had a slightly updated intro featuring clips from that current season, but this time around the animation has been completely overhauled. Although the intro gave a different perspective of South Park, the actual episode retained the 2D view that Matt Stone and Trey Parker have perfected over the past decade and a half.
