Steven Tyler pushed a fan out of the way during a live television broadcast, and at least two country singers are coming to his defense.

The incident happened this week during Aerosmith's appearance on The Today Show. An unidentified fan jumps into Tyler's walking path and attempts to put an arm around him for a selfie, which is when 70-year-old Tyler shoves him back into the crowd and ducks under his outstretched arm. One user on Twitter captured the moment, which shows the sometimes-country rocker looked rather irritated:

Tyler later responded on Twitter, explaining his actions: "No time, bro-this is LIVE TELEVISION! Come to the show if you want an intimate experience."

Two singers who've worked with him previously came to Tyler's defense. You may recall the legendary rock singer's dalliance with country music that culminated with a tour and the We're All Somebody From Somewhere album in 2016. Ryan Hurd wrote with him before the project.

Most of Jason Isbell's Twitter followers agree with him when he says the situation wasn't Tyler's fault.

Tyler and Aerosmith were on Today to promote the band's upcoming 50th anniversary residency in Las Vegas. It will begin in the spring at the MGM Grand's Park Theater. Tickets for the 18 scheduled shows range from $75 to $750.
