Walla Walla School District officials have released the results of a month-long survey and it appears their 2018 bond proposal is meeting with approval.

For a number of years, Walla Walla High School, Lincoln (alternative) High School, and Pioneer Middle School have had a long list of much-needed improvements and renovations. Many areas and rooms date back to the 1950's and suffer from deterioration.

A study conducted by what's called the Community Facilities Task Force had 560 respondents, a mixture of District employees, parents, community members and even students.

They support the overall bond proposal, which the District wants to put to voters in 2018.  There has been only one bond in Walla Walla in the last 18 years, officials say that one will be paid off in December 2018. But now it's time to make major renovations, safety improvements and other infrastructure changes.

The group has spent the last 13 months identifying the most pressing and important needs.
