Rage Against the Machine bassist Tim Commerford gave a "maybe" when asked last month by TMZ if the band was going to be making a new album. Now, Commerford has given a slightly different response when asked the question yet again, with an added dig at Republican Vice Presidential candidate Paul Ryan in reaction to the politician's claims that he's a certified Rage fan.

Sevendust are back, and they’ve slapped an official date for when they’ll start recording their upcoming new album! The Atlanta-based metallers will hit the studio on Sept. 5 to start work on the new release, which will be the follow-up to the band’s 2010 set, “Cold Day Memory.”

The Offspring, whose last release was 2008’s ‘Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace,’ have announced that they are currently wrapping up work on their ninth studio album and it will be called ‘Days Go By.’

Watch out Madge, Shinedown is coming for ya! With the release of their latest disc ‘Amaryllis,’ Shinedown debuted in the No. 4 slot on the Billboard 200 — marking their highest chart debut to date. Who knows? Maybe next week they can uproot the ‘Material Girl’ herself and replace Madonna in the top slot overall helping rock reign supreme!

Michigan rock band Taproot have been grinding it out for a decade and a half. The band broke on to the scene in the late 90′s with a string of independent releases, which eventually landed them a deal with Atlantic Records. Their debut album ‘Gift’ dropped in 2000 and the band has since released several successful singles such as ‘Poem’ and ‘Calling.’
