Mastodon are still making the rounds in support of ‘The Hunter’ album, but the days promoting their latest release appear to be winding down. Singer/bassist Troy Sanders revealed that a new album is definitely on their minds.

With the newly digitized release of the Mastodon/Feist split, ‘Feistodon,’ a music video has been created for the track ‘A Commotion.’ Originally recorded by Canadian singer/songwriter Feist, Mastodon created their own interpretation of the track for the original Record Store Day release of the ‘Feistodon’ 7″ vinyl album.

During Mastodon‘s set at the Portugal’s Rock in Lisboa Festival last month, there was one crowd member who stuck out from the rest.

Candlebox are back in full force with a new album, ‘Love Stories and Other Musings,’ and lead singer Kevin Martin says the album’s inspiration came from a very different place in his life than it did when the band first broke out in the early ’90s. He also offers a surprising list of metal acts among the bands that help inspire his songwriting.

Mastodon and Feist covered one another’s songs for Record Store Day (April 21) in one of the most anticipated releases of said event. Don’t stress or fret if you didn’t get a chance to nab the 7″ single yet. You can still listen to and enjoy the music online, since it is available in streaming form.
