The American Flag Bikini

A recent story by the Boston Daily Magazine discussed the use of the American Flag as a bikini for both men and women and I really never thought about it until now.

We've all seen them whether on the river floating by on a Malibu, a party boat, or in a magazine the patriotic bikini has been around for quite a while. I've never really thought of the fact that it could be disrespectful to someone who has fought for this country just to have the flag they have served for being cut up and made into a bikini or a set of briefs.

Reading through the Boston Magazine story it says that according to the Flag Code "the flag may never be used as wearing apparel, bedding or drapery".

So we wanted to spark up a conversation on the debate and hear what you have to say.
