The Offspring’s new disc ‘Days Go By’ won’t be out until later this month June 26, but fans have already had a taste of what it plans to deliver via the care-free and summer-ready first single of the same name.

The band is now painting more of a visual picture around the song with their new video for the tune. Combining scenes of the sun-swept life of three friends in Southern California interlaced with performance video of the band, the Offspring bring the concept of the song full circle – letting go of hard times and embracing the new. Check out our review of the song here.

The video ends leaving a little room for personal interpretation with all the band’s equipment going up in flames – perhaps a nod to the symbolism of the phoenix, burning to ashes to start anew. Check it out below and draw your own conclusions.

‘Days Gone By’ marks the ninth studio release from the Offspring and seems to find the band in a contemplative writing mode, at least at first listen. It follows 2008′s ‘Rise and Fall, Rage and Grace.’

According to the band, they plan to tour worldwide through 2012, so stay tuned for that news.
