The news gets better and better for Seattle sports fans. Not only are the Seahawks on a possible Super Bowl run, but the long battle fought by NBA fans in the Northwest may finally be coming to a close. Adrian Wojnarowski of Yahoo! Sports is reporting that the Maloof brothers are finalizing a $500 million agreement to sell the Sacramento Kings to the Hansen-Ballmer led Seattle group. This means that your Seattle SuperSonics could be back in the KeyArena for the start of the 2013-2014 NBA Season!

In 2006, the Sonics franchise was sold and eventually relocated to Oklahoma City. The Oklahoma City Thunder advanced to the NBA Finals last year, eventually losing to the Miami Heat. It was painful to watch as the last few Sonics draft picks were playing for an NBA Title, with the Sonics franchise.

Well that fan pain could be shifting from Seattle to Sacramento. It may not be the SuperSonics franchise, but professional basketball could be back in Seattle as soon as next season.
