    Carmine's

"I've always wanted to try this restaurant that everybody is craving about. I finally made it with friends. It is a house in downtown Kennewick turned into a cozy restaurant. They're only open from Wednesdays through Saturdays at certain hours. It really is recommended to make reservations. It's quite different from any restaurant as they only have 2 choices of pasta every day of the week. For example on Fridays, you only get to choose between spaghetti and rotinni. So, you need to review the menu before making the reservation just to make sure you like the choices they have for the day. It was our first time at Carmine's and as soon as we walked into the door, we were met with friendly smiles. Carmine, himself, welcomed us. It being our first time, we wanted to try both the spaghetti and rotini and so we got small orders of each. Their portions are big and so among the 3 of us, we still had leftover. The spaghetti was really good with the meatballs and Italian sausage. The marinara sauce was full of flavor and the pasta was cooked al dente. I'm not a fan of cream sauce but the combination with marinara on the rotinni was good. Their pasta was served with bread and salad. Most important to mention is the personal touch of having Carmine go to your table and share his stories. He even showed us their 50th wedding photo book. Made us feel like family. Will definitely come back ... for both the food and the stories!" - LTMiranda

    Monterroso's

"My wife and I recently had a wonderful dining experience at Monterroso's restaurant. The uniqueness of the vintage Pullman rail car made the dining even more enjoyable. We were pleasantly surprised when we were offered a tasting of Italian wines. I would highly recommend selecting an evening when they have another one. The staff was great and the food was marvelous. I really don't know how it could have been better. We will be back!" - MikeW7

    Fat Olive's

"Was driving through the area and spotted this restaurant with the intriguing name of Fat Olives. I'm always ready for an adventure so thought I would give it a try. Boy was that a good decision. The outside isn't much, and the inside is a retro style from the 1950s. The menu is quite eclectic and they have a nice wine selection. I chose a glass of the Ancient Lakes La Monarcha Rosé, a very good selection. Trying to eat light, I chose the Ahi Salad. And, spying a special on their tent card, I selected the Mediterranean Spread appetizer. This was a wonderful combination. I fell in love with the olive tapinade, black olives, Melanzano, roasted garlic and flatbreads. The serving size was enough for a whole table full of people. I took over half of it back to my hotel to enjoy the next night. The Ahi salad was fantastic, with a sizable portion of grilled Ahi over fresh greens with a unique aioli sauce. The staff was very friendly and efficient and the prices reasonable. I will be returning several times during my stay in the area." - HoopFL

    Casa Mia

"We have had pizza at Casa Mia a few times recently for dinner, although they have other Italian dishes, salads, etc., on the menu that we have not tried. Clean, good service and good pizza--softer, hand tossed crust pizza and it has always been tasty. Warm rolls and butter served before meal...love the warm rolls even when ordering pizza! Special prices on beer before 5 pm and after 9 pm, but reasonable prices during regular hours, too. Can be pretty busy around dinner time and is pretty noisy when the restaurant is nearly full, so we try to go a little later for dinner. (Tip: If very busy, ask to sit in the garden room next to the main dining room as it is a bit quieter.) One of the few places in Richland open until 10 pm on Sunday, too, but get there about 9 pm if going late, as they are ready to close and go home at 10 pm. A solid choice for good pizza. BTW, the small pizza is likely large enough for a couple...especially with the warm rolls!" - Hydros

    Stick + Stone

"It’s a “laid back atmosphere” which makes the dining experience relaxing. I like how you can see the pizza dough tossed in the air forming the correct size of pizza crust. It’s also fun to watch the wood-fire-pizza oven “in action”. The pizza’s are good to very good." - Travel_Guy_2015

    Italiano's Serious Pies & Pasta

"Excellent! This is an excellent culinary experience. Sauce is pungent with fresh spices, and clearly an individual with significant creativity has come to our collective homes to serve absolutely fine Italian cuisine. From antipasti, to salads to main courses, desserts, wines and a staff that aims to please." - Richard B K

    Bella Italia

"We've even twice and the food bas been so good. The pasta is fresh and its one of the few places we've been that serves lamb. All dishes for our party of five were well above expectation. It is a bit above our budget for weekly dining but we'll e back in December and January for birthdays." - Penguin Traveler

    The Folded Pie

"We went in for a takeout order. Had two calazones and a house salad. With tax cam to $27 and change. The atmosphere was delightful and owner was wonderful. Exceptionally clean. Homemade sauces and bread pastry. Wish they would add roasted garlic to their topping list. So good! Order ready in 12 minutes. My husband and I are retired and don't eat as much as we use to so 1 calazone shared and a house salad shared would have been plenty but we ate it all and enjoyed! I will be a return customer. If you wanted to make cheese gooier, might try either cream cheese blended in with your cheeses or maybe brie...Don't get me wrong, we loved it as it was but he wanted comments and suggestions and me being a cook couldn't resist. We will return!" - Joe_Laura804
